It all begins with simple ingredients of flour, water, salt and yeast. Max’s breads begin with a “biga” (starter dough) and are baked using centuries-old methods.
All of our Artisan Breads are made from the highest quality ingredients. Different from other grocery store breads, Max’s uses only canola oil and extra virgin olive oil, two of the healthiest oils available. Max’s uses real cane sugar, brown sugar, honey or molasses when sweetening its breads instead of high fructose corn syrup.
Our Artisan Breads are made using all natural leavenings and ingredients. They are hand formed and given long fermentation to build flavor and baked in a stone hearth oven. “We love bread!”
